Soar Through the Trees: Smoky Mountain Ziplining Adventures
Would you like to save this full guide?
Ziplining in the Smoky Mountains can either be the thrill of a lifetime or someone’s worst fear. And often, it’s both.
That feeling of standing on a high platform, harnessed to a thin-looking cable, heart pounding, knees shaky – only to launch into the air and suddenly realize you’re having the time of your life? That’s the magic of ziplining.
And the Smoky Mountains offer one of the most unforgettable places to experience it.
Surrounded by dense forests, mature trees, and mountain vistas, the areas around Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville provide the perfect playground for zipline adventures.
Whether you’re a first-timer or an adrenaline junkie, the Smokies’ diverse zipline courses offer everything from “low and slow” starters to high-flying thrills that soar over waterfalls and treetops.
Not only are the views unbeatable, but you’re also in great hands. Professional guides make safety a top priority, ensuring you’re fully prepped before that first leap.
Many zipline tours last several hours and include multiple lines, skybridges, and scenic platforms high in the canopy. It’s a true treetop adventure.
Here are some of the best zipline tours in the Smoky Mountains…

Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park
Sevierville
Home to the highest zipline in the Smokies – The Goliath – Foxfire takes you 475 feet above Dunn’s Creek.
You’ll also find the Scenic Canopy Tour, which features a line soaring 250 feet above a waterfall, plus the longest swinging bridge in the U.S., hiking trails, and a climbing wall. For full-throttle adventure, grab an all-inclusive pass.
This was our #1 pick for our Smoky Mountain trip before Christmas. We were not disappointed! The friendliness and expertise of all the employees we encountered was exceptional!
We had 2 wonderful guides, Bean and Robbie, that kept us laughing and entertained the entire trip! This was our first zipline experience, and it was easier, more exhilarating, and thrilling than we could ever imagine!!! The views were awesome!
We even got to fly upside down and do whatever pose we dared try, after guidance from our guides. We, also, were able to purchase the pictures and videos of our entire experience at a very reasonable price shared between all 8 people in our group. Chris, our photographer, was bubbly and entertaining, as well.
The Foxfire Mountain guides and employees kept us at ease and relaxed the entire trip. We can’t thank them enough for making our family trip one we will always cherish! We will DEFINITELY be back!!!

Smoky Mountain Ziplines
Pigeon Forge
Ideal for easing into the sport, this course starts “low and slow” before building to more daring heights. The highlight? A race down side-by-side super zips – 800 feet long and 100 feet high.
With expert guides and a laid-back vibe, it’s one of the longest zipline courses in town and perfect for competitive thrill-seekers.
Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) had an amazing first-time ziplining experience at Smoky Mountain Zipline! One of us was in a walking boot, and we were a bit worried about mobility, but it turned out to be no issue at all.
The front desk staff was super helpful in addressing our concerns, and since our family member was weight-bearing and mobile, it worked out perfectly. The setup is great—transport takes you to the platform, and there’s minimal walking involved. At the end, there are some steps, but they were totally manageable for us.
Our guides, Robby and Frank, were fantastic! They kept us safe, entertained, and made the whole experience a blast—I’d recommend them in a heartbeat. The seven ziplines were varied, scenic, and kept us hooked the whole time. We went in early Spring with perfect high-70s weather, which made the day even better.
We’re already planning to return, maybe with a scout troop or for a senior trip. The front desk was great about group rate info, so definitely reach out to them. Highly recommend this spot for a fun, family-friendly adventure!

Rafting in the Smokies
Gatlinburg
Best known for whitewater rafting, this outfitter also offers a zipline canopy tour that includes six lines and two skybridges, totaling 2,400 feet of ziplining fun.
Bonus: Book both rafting and ziplining for the best value – and the most action-packed day in the Smokies.
You can read reviews about both the ziplining and rafting experience here.

CLIMB Works Smoky Mountains
Gatlinburg
This top-rated treetop tour begins with a half-mile ATV ride up 400 feet and then launches you on nine ziplines and three skybridges over 2.5 hours.
The immersive design means you’re almost constantly airborne, with only brief breaks between the thrill rides. And yes – there’s a surprise at the end (but we’re not spoiling it!).
It was my wife’s first zipline experience and she was petrified. The crew, led by Mike, were the best coaches. My wife overcame her fear of heights and settled right in, sort of.
Safety is the number one priority. That mindset and the coaching made ziplining go off without a hitch.
You’re in good hands with Climb Works and should go ziplining here when visiting the Smokies. The scenery was majestic.

Legacy Mountain Ziplines
Sevierville
As the Smokies’ first eco-friendly zipline tour, Legacy Mountain lets you experience the wilder side of the forest.
With seven lines stretching up to 2,500 feet and reaching 450 feet off the ground, this is a scenic and heart-pumping ride through untouched Smoky Mountain terrain.
Legacy Ziplines was the highlight of our trip! Our guides Chris & Daniel were hilarious and were amazing with our three kids (ages 7-17), making sure everyone felt safe and had a blast. The ziplines were thrilling, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. We can’t wait to come back someday! Highly recommend!
